PROSOCO SingleStep WB – One-Step Concrete Curing & Weatherproofing Compound
PROSOCO® SingleStep® WB is a water-based acrylic-silane blend engineered to cure and weatherproof new concrete in a single application. Formulated for contractors working on high-performance concrete structures, it quickly penetrates to form a water-repellent gel within the pores and a semi-glossy film on the surface. This film retains moisture in the slab, allowing the concrete to reach maximum hardness while simultaneously building chemical and water resistance. It meets the requirements of ASTM C309, Type 1 Classes A & B and AASHTO M-148, Type 1, Classes A & B.
Unlike traditional curing compounds that require costly, time-consuming water curing and removal steps, SingleStep® WB eliminates that extra labor entirely. Application Instructions
Surface Preparation
- Protect people, vehicles, property, plants, windows, and all non-masonry surfaces from product, splash, residue, fumes, and wind drift.
- Protect and/or divert foot and vehicle traffic from the work area.
- Ensure fresh air entry and cross ventilation during application and drying.
- Extinguish all flames, pilot lights, and other potential ignition sources during use and until all vapors are gone.
- Confirm concrete surfaces are clean and structurally sound.
- For new concrete, wait at least 3 hours after the freshly poured concrete has received final finishing and all surface water is gone before applying.
- Verify surface and air temperatures are at least 40°F (4°C) and should not exceed 90°F (32°C) during application and for 8 hours following. Apply to shaded surfaces and before daytime temperatures peak.
- Do not apply if subfreezing temperatures are expected — freezing will inhibit penetration and significantly impair results.
Equipment Setup
- Use high-volume, low-pressure spray equipment (less than 50 psi) as the recommended application method.
- Fit spray equipment with neoprene fittings.
- Use fan spray tips to avoid atomization of the material.
- For small-scale application or where spray is not appropriate, product may be applied by brush or roller — contact PROSOCO Customer Care or your local representative for guidance.
- Ensure all application equipment is clean and dry before use.
Storage and Handling
- Keep from freezing.
- Store in tightly sealed, original factory containers in a horizontal position to prevent moisture accumulation on the drumhead.
- Store in a cool, dry place and keep tightly closed when not dispensing.
- Shelf life is 2 years in a tightly sealed, unopened container under proper storage conditions.
