Product Description
LSGuard — High-Gloss Concrete Sealer and Protective Treatment for Long-Lasting Floor Protection
Consolideck LSGuard is a copolymer-formulated, opaque white liquid sealer and protective treatment engineered for concrete flooring in commercial and institutional environments. It protects and enhances the color intensity of integrally colored and color-stained concrete, as well as standard gray and cement terrazzo floors. LSGuard delivers a long-lasting, high-gloss finish that maximizes light reflectance and eliminates the need for floor waxes, liquid polishes, and conventional resin-based coatings. It also further improves the surface sheen and stain resistance of floors previously treated with Consolideck LS, LS/CS, or Blended Densifier.

Unlike conventional resin-based coatings and floor waxes, LSGuard is a copolymer formulation that will not trigger or contribute to surface Alkali Silicate Reaction (ASR), making it a safer long-term choice for concrete floor systems. Its compatibility with Consolideck LS, LS/CS, and Blended Densifier allows it to function as a finishing layer within a complete concrete floor treatment system, rather than as a standalone coating requiring periodic stripping and reapplication.
Key Features & Benefits
High-Gloss, Light-Reflective Finish
LSGuard provides a long-lasting, high-gloss finish that maximizes light reflectance across the treated floor surface. For contractors working on commercial or institutional projects, this reduces the need for supplemental lighting and delivers a premium aesthetic without ongoing maintenance coatings.
Eliminates Floor Waxes and Liquid Polishes
By replacing conventional floor waxes, liquid polishes, and resin-based coatings, LSGuard reduces the ongoing maintenance burden for building owners and facility managers. Contractors can offer clients a lower total cost of ownership compared to traditional floor finishing systems.
Enhanced Stain Resistance
LSGuard improves the stain resistance of treated concrete floors, including those previously treated with Consolideck LS, LS/CS, or Blended Densifier. This is particularly valuable in high-traffic environments such as schools, grocery stores, and aircraft hangars where surface contamination is a routine concern.
Color Enhancement for Decorative Concrete
The formulation protects and enhances the color intensity of integrally colored and color-stained concrete. Contractors working on decorative concrete installations can use LSGuard to preserve and deepen the appearance of their work over time.
No ASR Contribution
LSGuard will not trigger or contribute to surface Alkali Silicate Reaction (ASR), a common concern with certain concrete treatments. This makes it a reliable choice for long-term floor protection without risk of surface degradation from chemical incompatibility.
Low VOC — Nationally Compliant
With a VOC content of less than 100 g/L, LSGuard is compliant with all national, state, and district AIM VOC regulations. Contractors working on LEED-certified or environmentally sensitive projects can apply LSGuard with confidence in its regulatory standing.
Common Applications
Commercial Concrete Flooring
LSGuard is suited for standard gray or colored concrete floors in commercial settings, providing a durable, high-gloss protective finish that reduces ongoing maintenance requirements.
Integrally Colored and Color-Stained Concrete
The formulation protects and enhances the color intensity of decorative concrete floors, making it ideal for architectural and decorative concrete finishing work.
Cement Terrazzo Floors
LSGuard is formulated for use on hardened concrete and cement terrazzo floors, improving surface sheen and stain resistance in institutional and commercial environments.
Educational Facilities
Schools and institutional buildings with high foot traffic benefit from LSGuard's stain resistance and durable gloss finish, reducing the frequency of floor maintenance interventions.
Grocery Stores and Retail Environments
High-traffic retail floors treated with LSGuard gain improved stain resistance and a high-gloss appearance that supports a clean, professional environment.
Aircraft Hangars and Industrial Floors
LSGuard's protective treatment is applicable to industrial concrete floors where surface protection and ease of maintenance are operational priorities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can LSGuard be applied directly to untreated concrete?
A: Yes. LSGuard is suitable for application to standard gray or colored concrete, hardened concrete, and cement terrazzo floors, whether or not they have been previously treated with a Consolideck densifier product.
Q: Does LSGuard work with other Consolideck products?
A: LSGuard further improves the surface sheen and stain resistance of floors already treated with Consolideck LS, LS/CS, or Blended Densifier, making it an effective finishing step within a complete Consolideck floor treatment system.
Q: Will LSGuard cause or worsen Alkali Silicate Reaction (ASR) on concrete surfaces?
A: No. LSGuard will not trigger or contribute to surface ASR, which is a documented concern with some concrete treatments and coatings.
Q: Is LSGuard compliant with VOC regulations in all states?
A: Yes. LSGuard has a VOC content of less than 100 g/L and is compliant with all national, state, and district AIM VOC regulations.
Q: Does LSGuard require special storage or shipping conditions?
A: LSGuard has a freeze point of 32°F (0°C) and is considered a freezable product. Shipment may be delayed during cold weather conditions to ensure the product arrives in good condition. Store in a tightly sealed, unopened container for a shelf life of up to one year.
