Application Instructions

Surface Preparation

1. Protect people, vehicles, property, and all surfaces not meant for application from product, splash, fumes, residue, and wind drift.
2. Remove spill and overspray immediately from horizontal surfaces, as they will become extremely slippery.
3. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and absorbent before application. Do not apply after rain until the surface is thoroughly dry.
4. If cleaning is needed, use the appropriate PROSOCO cleaner. For previously painted or metal surfaces, most can be coated 20 minutes to one hour after cleaning. Other surfaces should be allowed to thoroughly dry before treatment.
5. On unpainted surfaces previously tagged with graffiti, remove graffiti using PROSOCO Graffiti Remover or SafStrip. Rinse thoroughly. Application of SC-1 can begin once the surface appears dry.
6. On painted surfaces previously tagged with graffiti, cover graffiti with a fresh coat of paint. Let the new paint dry thoroughly per manufacturer's recommendations before applying SC-1.

Temperature Requirements

1. Surface and air temperatures should be between 40–90°F (4–32°C).
2. Do not apply during rain showers. Protect freshly coated surfaces from rain for two hours following application.

Equipment and Application

1. Apply using a garden tank sprayer or conventional airless spray equipment. Adjust tips and pressure for a wide spray pattern.
2. Use only low pressure for application. Do not atomize.
3. SC-1 may also be applied with a brush or roller.
4. Always test each type of surface for suitability and results before overall application, including any previous repairs, patches, and aesthetic cementitious finishes.

Storage and Handling
