Application Instructions

Surface and Conditions Preparation

1. Protect people, vehicles, property, plants, metal, all non-masonry, and acid-sensitive surfaces from contact with the product, rinse residue, fumes, and wind drift.
2. Protect or divert auto and foot traffic. Clean when traffic is at a minimum.
3. Ensure air and surface temperatures are 40°F (4°C) or above. Do not clean when temperatures are below freezing or will fall below freezing overnight.
4. If freezing conditions have existed, allow the concrete to fully thaw before cleaning.
5. When surfaces are exposed to direct sunlight or high winds, wet hot surfaces with fresh water immediately before applying the cleaner to remove loose soiling and reduce surface temperature. When possible, clean when surfaces are shaded.

Equipment Setup

1. Apply with an acid-resistant mop or low-pressure sprayer (50 psi maximum) fitted with acid-resistant hoses and gaskets.
2. Do not atomize. Pressure spraying above 50 psi drives the cleaner into the surface, making rinsing difficult and may cause staining.
3. For rinsing, use pressure-washing equipment generating 400–1000 psi with a water flow rate of 6–8 gallons per minute and a 15–45° fan spray tip.
4. Heated rinse water (150–180°F; 65–82°C) may improve cleaning efficiency.

Application and Rinsing

1. Always test a small area of each surface to confirm suitability, coverage rate, and desired results before full application.
2. Apply product per coverage rate guidance of 50–150 sq ft/gal. See Product Data Sheet for specific coverage rates.
3. After dwell time, rinse thoroughly with enough water to flush spent cleaner and dissolved soiling from the concrete surface and surface pores.
4. Inadequate rinsing leaves residues which may stain the cleaned surface — ensure complete flushing.
5. Use adjustable equipment to reduce water flow rates and rinsing pressure as needed for sensitive concrete. Do not exceed 1000 psi or use fan spray tips smaller than 15°, as this may permanently damage sensitive concrete.

Storage and Handling

1. Store in a cool, dry place with adequate ventilation. Maintain temperature of 45–100°F (7–38°C).
2. Always seal container after dispensing. Do not alter or mix with other chemicals except as specified.
3. Store containers upright and factory-sealed. Do not double-stack pallets.
4. Dispose of unused product and container in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
