Application Instructions

Surface Preparation

1. Ensure all substrate surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, frost, and loose debris prior to application.
2. Confirm the substrate is structurally sound and that all framing is properly installed per applicable building codes.
3. For window sill applications, ensure the rough opening sill is sloped or shimmed to drain outward where required by design.

Installation

1. Cut XtremeFlashing™ tape to the required length before removing the release liner.
2. Position the tape over the target area — begin at the sill, then proceed to the jambs, then the head — overlapping each successive piece per standard flashing sequence.
3. Peel the release liner as you press the tape firmly into place, working out air bubbles and ensuring full contact with the substrate.
4. Use a roller or seam roller to press the tape firmly along all edges and seams to ensure complete adhesion and eliminate voids.
5. At corners, fold or notch the tape as required to maintain a continuous waterproof layer — use XtremeCorners™ or Tamlyn-approved bowtie methods for inside and outside corner conditions.
6. Seal any tape seams or transitions with XtremeSealant™ or Tamlyn® BrunnoSeal® as required by the project specification or warranty requirements.
7. Install TamlynWrap® housewrap over the flashing in correct shingled sequence (bottom to top) to complete the water-managed assembly.
8. Use XtremeSeam™ Tape to seal all housewrap seams and laps per Tamlyn installation guidelines.
