Each batch goes through a rigorous tumbling process to ensure consistent sizing, smooth edges, and a polished finish. The colors are permanent — they will not fade, leach, or need replacing over time. Available in a wide range of colors and sizes to suit any project.

Note for turquoise colors: Turquoise glass contains copper, which becomes more visible as the glass is exposed to heat over time. If using in a fireplace or fire pit application, the color will gradually change with repeated heat exposure.

What is the difference between terrazzo glass and landscape glass?
Size only. Terrazzo glass and landscape glass are the same product in different size ranges. Terrazzo sizes are smaller and are most commonly used in terrazzo floors, countertops, and concrete flatwork. Landscape sizes are larger and are most commonly used as ground cover, mulch replacement, and water feature accents. Both can be used interchangeably depending on the look you want.

Is the glass safe for aquariums?
Yes. The glass is non-toxic and safe for fish, plants, and aquatic life. It makes an excellent replacement for traditional aquarium gravel.

Is this glass recycled?
Yes — 100%. American Specialty Glass sources post-consumer glass bottles and post-industrial glass scraps from material recycling facilities and glass manufacturers across the US. The glass is then re-melted and re-processed to ensure consistent color and sizing. LEED documentation is available upon request.

How much glass do I need?
For ground cover at 1 inch depth, plan on 7 lbs per square foot. For countertop seeding, use approximately 1.25 lbs per square foot for 70–80% coverage. For aquariums, 1.5 lbs per gallon is the standard recommendation. For large orders over 250 lbs, call American Specialty Glass directly for volume pricing and shipping arrangements.

Does the glass qualify for LEED credits?
Yes. Because it is 100% recycled post-consumer and post-industrial material, it may qualify for LEED credits depending on the project. ASG will provide a letter documenting the recycled content and sourcing upon request.
